GD&TOP “Knock Out” dilarang untuk tampil di KBS, MBC, & SBS

Lagu ketiga GD&TOP, “Knock Out”, dilarang disiarkan di tiga jaringan penyiaran publik.

KBS, MBC, dan SBS menyatakan alasan larangan tersebut karena judul dan lirik yang digunakan adalah bahasa sehari-hari (gaul), yang mereka percaya akan merusak jiwa nasional. Lagu ii sendiri populer di beberapa chart musik, dan berita tentang larangan lagu ini dengan cepat menjadi kontroversi di antara para penggemar dan netizen secara bersama-sama. Mereka yakin larangan tersebut “konyol dan kelewat batas.”

Satu netizen berkomentar, “Beberapa drama TV diperbolehkan unutk menampilkan perzinahan, kekerasan, memaki, dan bahkan pelecehan seksual. Aku tidak mengerti mengapa mereka mengatakan bahwa ekspresi yang digunakan dalam lagu ‘Knock Out’ bermasalah.

Perwakilan YG Entertainment berkomentar, “Lagu tersebut sudah dirilis ke publik, dan kami tidak bisa mengedit judul ata isi lagu hanya karena masalah larangan itu. Kami tidak akan mengubah apapun yang akan merusak arti asli dari lagu tersebut.”

G-Dragon sebelumnya mengungkapkan bahwa ia mendapat inspirasi dari lagu korea, ‘Bbeokigayo,’ yang berasal dari drama MBC, “My Name is Kim Sam Soon“, karena lagu itu ungkapan yang digunakan oleh karakter utamanya.

GD&TOP telah memutuskan untuk melewatkan promosi lagu ketiga mereka dengan mempromosikan dua lagu tambahan, sehingga total ada lima lagu yang akan mereka promosikan.
